Considering the needs of communities in Loughborough helps us demonstrate our caring philosophy, which is why we support the work of charity organisations by providing volunteer dentistry work and promoting oral dental health care. Our public relations officer Shirali works with local schools and nurseries to promote and educate good oral hygiene.
As leading team of dentists, we believe that an essential part of responsibility is to promote oral dental health, such as preventing the development of gum disease and tooth decay – within our practices – and beyond to the wider community, Many team members have made visits to deprived communities to volunteer their dentistry skills.
Charities we have supported are:
- “Make-A-Wish” we raised £1000 which also included Dr Kaderbhai and Amy Fitta (nurse) doing a skydive on the 9th August 2014.
- Rainbow charity
- Cancer charity
- Bridge2Aid: we raised £40 as part of a smile month from 20th May 2013 to 20th June 2013.
And many more …
Oral Health Kids campaign
Nicky Hickling Nicky Hickling,Burton on The Wolds Playgroup
Date: 11th June 2015
As our practice is dedicated in promoting happy and healthy smiles within the local community. The team from Carillon made a visit to see children aged 2-5 at the Burton on the wolds playgroup. PR Manager Shirali and Oral Health Educator Holly delivered a fun and interactive session to encourage children on how to look after their teeth better.
Nicky from the playgroup was full praise of team.
“We very much enjoyed your visit to our little setting! Our children range in age from 2 years to almost five years and we felt that the session was not too long and had the right mix of information, songs, interactive props etc. to maintain the children’s interest as they are very young. You were all lovely and had a great manner with the children. I would recommend you for this kind of activity!” (Nicky,Burtons on the wolds playgroup)
See below pictures on the recent skydive challenge that the team did.
